The paper to be present will be divided into two main sections. The first section is a review of the importance of the buyer-seller relationship to new product development and innovation. The second section will discuss a case study of a major Canadian manufacturing company in terms of their approach to technological innovation. This will be prefaced with a brief summary of Canadian networks and the role they play in innovation. The focus will be on the relationships developed with customers and suppliers. The paper will conclude with a general model for technological innovation based on the network paradigm. |
