This work considers trade in services and its growing importance thanks to the development in technologies and communications. It focuses on services trade liberalization and General Agreement on Trade in Services (GATS), the first and only set of multilateral rules governing international trade in services; and current services negotiations. In the last part there is reviewed liberalization progress in three important sectors -- financial services, telecommunications and transport services. |
