This bachelor thesis aims at evaluation and optimization of the process of managing stocks in a chosen business. The literary research depicts concepts like logistics, stocks, risks associated with stocks, costs arising from having stocks, as well as models of managing stock. In the second part of this thesis I describe the basic characteristics of a business and its current system of managing stock. The input data are divided into three categories according to the ABC analysis, based on their importance, subsequently after consulting the company management ten items are chosen, for which the optimal quantities are calculated which are then compared to the real conditions. Acquired findings are evaluated and based on that evaluation conclusion is drawn, or perhaps recommendations are given for optimizing the stocks in given business. |
