Popis:	This thesis deals with the concept of after-school education in socialist Czechoslovakia. It explains the period expressions such as after-class and after school education and gives an abstract of particular conceptions of after-school education up to the 70's of the 20th century. The main emphasis is laid on the concept of after-school education from the 70's that determined the conditions of futher development of the educational system. The main aim is to establish both the positive and negative sides of the concept of after-school education in socialist Czechoslovakia and refer to the other possibilities of its futher development that had the influence on children's extracurricular activities and ther progress. The particular conceptions of after-school education are compared and the deficiencies of the older concept are mentioned. The main attention is paid to the critical evaluation of the newer concept of after-school education from the 70's., presented mainly by the view of V. Bláha.
