The title of the diploma thesis is the use of a puppet in introducing a new group of pupils in the first grade of elementary school. The diploma thesis deals in the theoretical part with the function and potential of the puppet in its use in primary school classes, analyzes the various types of puppets, also focuses on puppeteers - what they should be, what they should know and control. He also deals with mise-en-scène and everything that belongs to it, in addition, a whole chapter deals with the senses of the puppet. The practical part was carried out through action research in a small-class school (1st and 2nd grade) and deals with two teaching blocks - one without the use of a puppet and the other with its use. The results show that thanks to the puppet, the pupils are able to focus more on the lesson, enjoy it more and, above all, communicate better with each other and get to know each other better. Furthermore, the thesis is accompanied by a quantitative research in the form of a structured questionnaire, which investigated the use of puppets in the classroom and teachers' attitudes towards puppets in general. |
