This Bachelor thesis focuses on the closing of the Jan Amos Komensky primary school in Písek. Six chapters describe the history of the Písek city, its education system, the establishment of an education institution in the Aleš square and important events that influenced the school from the beginning until the end of the 20th century. The thesis examines the reason behind the closing of the primary school J. A. Komensky but also describes the future of the school building which was rebuilt into a public library and into Písek´s center of education. This thesis mainly analyzes historical documents such as chronicles and official records. |
