This work is dedicated to the North American Free Trade Agreement, which entered into force in 1994 and united the U.S., Canada and Mexico. Aim of this work is to examine the effects of this Agreement on two specific areas, namely the area of trade and employment in the Member States. The first part briefly outlines formation and content of agreement, entry motives and expectations of Member States, as well as two side agreements that were negotiated in parallel with the NAFTA. The second chapter monitors trade and changes in trade between Member States, both at bilateral and trilateral levels. The final chapter examines the impact of NAFTA on the sensitive area of work and in particular employment in each of Member States. |
