The Lednice-Valtice Cultural Landscape from the Perspective of Heritage Preservation Abstract This work deals with the Lednice- Valtice landscape which is understood as the subject of heritage protection. It emphasizes the importance of the local monuments, especially chateaux of Lednice and Valtice, which led to the inclusion of the complex on the UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1996. It analyzes the prior development of cultural heritage and state monuments from 1945 to the present. A substantial part of the work is the period after registration to the UNESCO which evaluates the contribution of this step, especially in terms of completed projects. |
