Popis: This thesis analyses the structure and meanings of Chinese personal names and their adaptation to the social changes of China over the last hundred years. The basic source is the genealogy of the Lu family. The author's focus is in particular on the structure and meaning of personal names, as used in the period of revolutionary historical changes from the end of the Qing Dynasty to the present. The work also includes general information about the phenomenon of the genealogical records jiapu and will introduce the source in detail, including the method of its compilation. Author inserts his own analysis into a summary of basic information about Chinese names according to the literature. In the analysis, he will also take into account the general issues of anthroponomastics in the application to Czech names with the help of secondary literature.
