The aim of this thesis is to analyze the importance of international trade in services and to characterize its position in the global economy with a focus on developing countries. The thesis also deals with the process of liberalizing trade in services with an emphasis on GATS. The important part of the thesis is engaged in analysis of international trade in services in selected countries of the developing world - China, India, Brazil. The last chapter assesses the impact of liberalization of trade in services, which results from the analysis of the above mentioned countries and enabling better understanding the threats and the opportunities that liberalization of trade in services brings for the developing countries. |
