The bachelor thesis deals with the topic of gold. The goal is to understand the function and significance of gold in the modern world and analyse main factors influencing gold prices. The thesis explores gold trading, gold reserves and how central banks deal with these reserves. It also discusses gold standard and the Bretton Woods system. The thesis analyses how demand, supply, currencies, monetary policy and other factors influence the price of gold. Between some factors the correlation analysis is conducted. |
