This bachelor´s essay appplies to a custodian of Dietrichstein palace in Vienna in 1683. It focuses on the second Ottoman´s siege of Vienna in summer in 1683. It extracts reports sent by the custodian George Vojciech Felix Novodvorský to duke Ferdinand Joseph from Dietrichstein during the whole year 1683. The target of the essay is o analyse events in Vienna, concretely in Dietrichstein palace from the view of an eyewitness. The point of interest is the town preparation for siege, description the two moth´s fights, the way George Vojciech Novodvorský percieved them and an outlook to Vienna defender everydayness. The essay contains also informations about consequential recon-struction of damaged palace. |
