This bachelor thesis deals with the English, Russian and Czech vocabulary in the field of motorsport, especially Formula 1. The theoretical part of the thesis concerns lexicology as a part of linguistic, its significance and disciplines. Then it describes the process of word formation in detail, mainly the process of borrowing. In the theoretical part there is also described the environment of Formula 1, distribution of the sport and its historical development in brief. The practical part of the thesis compares lexical units in English, Russian and Czech. Each of the chosen units contains its meaning, origin and an example of the use of the unit in a collocation. The aim of the thesis is not only to compare the vocabulary of different languages, but also to determine the measure in which English influences the Czech and Russian vocabulary in this field.
