The bachelor thesis deals with the issue of inventory management in the chosen manufacturing company. The thesis is divided into two parts. A literary search is elaborated in the first part, in which the main characteristics of stocks and their classification, strategies, methods, models and costs related to inventory management are defined. The second part of the bachelor thesis focuses on a chosen manufacturing company. Based on the ABC method, an analysis of the current stock level is performed, which divides stocks into three groups according to their importance. The economic order quantity model is applied to the most important stock items. Results from this model are compared with current values. Based on a comparison of calculated and current values, recommendations for more effective inventory management are suggested at the end. |
