Popis: | This thesis deals with the question of growing wealthy and becoming poor of the Czech society in the years of boom and bust between the World Wars. I seek to inquire into these processes on account of lifestyle journal that influenced and constituted the lifestyle of one specific social class. Between the First World War and the Second World War Czech lands experienced two different economic cycles. The second half of the 20s brought unprecedented boom but was followed by a recession which lasted till 1933/4. This consideration supposes different ethos of these periods. The changes in the lifestyle or to be precise representation of lifestyle are examined in the lifestyle journal for women who were playing increasingly important role in the society. |
