The aim of this work is to create a smart home using single-board computer Arduino. The work consists of creation of a web application for remote access with the help of Internet of Things (IoT), implementation into created model of an apartment and demonstration of operation in practice. It presents an overview of history and description of Arduino computers, which are the brain of every smart home, and a comparison with current commercial models of a smart home. It also deals with a development of a program for controlling a smart home, a web application for remote control through IoT and creation of a smart home model using Arduino and its shields. All this is to show advantages and disadvantages of self-made smart home, its affordability and implementation into real households. |
