Title: The Use of Sensory Motor Stimulation in Patients with Multiple Myeloma at the Transplant Ward Abstract: The bachelor thesis deals with the use of the sensory motor stimulation technique in patiens with multiple myeloma who are hospitalized in a transplant unit. The thesis is divided into the theoretical and practical parts. In the theoretical part, multiple myeloma, its etiology, symptoms and the treatment are characterized. Then it concentrates on the course of autologous transplantation and the patient's hospitalization in a transplant unit. This part of the thesis also deals with the influence of motion activity on the human body and consequences of physical inactivity. The sensory motor stimulation technique, its nature, conception and methodological procedure are also explained in this part. The practical part of the thesis focuses on the use of the sensory motor stimulation in two patiens with multiple myeloma hospitalized in a transplant unit. It is composed of two case reports. The aim of the bachelor thesis is to find out the influence of sensory motor stimulation on a physical condition of the patiens after autologous transplantation and suitability of its integration into the rehabilitation programme of the transplant unit.
