The developement of health care in České Budějovice in 1920´s and 1930´s

Popis: This thesis focuses on health care which was provided for people in České Budějovice after the First World War to the year 1938. It deals not just with care in Southbohemian capital. It also introduces the whole range of chapters such as the primary division of hospitals, problems of health care before the Munich agreement in 1938, General Public Hospital in České Budějovice and its managment, and other organisations. This work aims to clarify the idea of a hospital in the context of the whole country, on the other hand it concerns common patients and people connected with hospital and its arrangement. The main focus of this thesis is on the question why the hospital in České Budějovice underwent postwar reformation, how the established republic managed to take care of its inhabitants. The main source for this work were the medical records, applications and building permits of renovations, session reports, charter. These sources included the whole range of testimonies of the patients world, which they got into often from their birth to the death. The resources used for this thesis were of evidence, communicative, insurance, commemorative, intro- institutional and personal nature. The other possibilities of comparison with other resources is outlined here. Grafs and charts are included.
