This bachelor thesis deals with the topic of online violence against women working in the field of journalism. The theoretical part starts with a focus on communication and media and tries to describe its transformation and shape in the present day. The next chapter is dedicated to online violence and tries to describe its forms. The theoretical part concludes with the topic of women in journalism, describing journalism and its masculine and public nature, as well as the current representation of women in the media. The aim of this thesis is to use qualitative research and the technique of semi-structured interviews to find out what forms of online violence directed against this particular group of women occur in the Czech environment and what are the experiences of these women. The respondents' statements were processed using interpretative phenomenological analysis. The research shows that women in the field of journalism are targeted mainly because they enter the public space where they assert their opinion, because of their gender and also because of the topics they address in their work.
