Popis: Telephonic crisis help is a traditional service with history dates back to 50s of 20th century, when the probably world first emergency line service has been founded. Helplines representing social service pursuant to Act number: 108/2006 collection of laws, about social services. Some of them are free of charge, some paid with prices based on the caller tariff. This social services has its positives, however some negatives too. In my bachelor thesis theoretic part I deals with definition of senior as such, with his individual needs, crisis effects on senior and overall effects of the crisis to the human body. I define the crisis itself, as well crisis help also with senior crisis help specifics. In my thesis I follow act number: 108/206 Coll. about social services, as the crisis help and helplines are both social services regulated with this act. Another part of theoretical section is dedicated to the phone crisis help (helplines). It has advantages, but also disadvantages which should be mentioned. We have to also mention the workers who are providing crisis intervention and telephonic crisis intervention, where the worker who is providing this services, whether as paid employee or volunteer must fulfill certain level of education. Objective of this thesis is to determine, what type of contacts we can identify with helpline for seniors and also determine what issues we can identify with helpline for seniors. Subsequently we specified hypothesis. First hypothesis says: During the years 2007-2013 the contact type "silence" had upward trend. Second hypothesis says: During the years 2010- 2013 were health issues most discussed type of calls on senior helplines. Research of quantitative strategy was used in this bachelor work. Quantitative research itself was performed by analysis of documents and secondary data analysis technique. This research was based on statistics of senior helpline calls count, which is provided by Elpida, o.p.s. Data were subsequently analyzed with usage of Pearson´s correlation coefficient and using relative frequency. When testing first hypotheses, research shown that type of contact "silence" has upward trend during last year's, when the level reached 0,6% of significance, which means existence of statistically important correlation between the tested variables. In case of second hypotheses, research shown, that most often problematic on senior helplines are calls regarding family and loneliness, health issues taken fourth place of importance. Bachelor thesis can help to the providers of social crisis help as a feedback of their work, or can serve for professional public, who are interested about telephonic crisis intervention.
