The aim of this bachelor thesis is to present an annotated Czech translation of selected chapters from the book Na Solovetskikh ostrovakh written by V. V. Skopin. The thesis consists of two parts. The first one represents the translation. The second part covers the annotation of that translation which includes the translation analysis of the source text, description of translation methods and typology of translation shifts.
