This bachelor thesis examines the use of modern nicotine products through contingency tables and tests them using the chi-squared test. The main objective of the thesis is to determine the use of modern nicotine products among students of the University of South Bohemia in Ceske Budejovice. The theoretical part of the thesis focuses on the issues related to modern nicotine products, their forms, and their effects on the human body. The practical part of the thesis seeks to find answers to the set hypotheses through a sur- vey-based research, which revealed that modern nicotine products are not widely used by the students of the University of South Bohemia, as indicated by the irrelevant sample size for this research. Additionally, the research found that there is a correlation between gender and the use of modern nicotine products, while there is no correlation between the field of study and the frequency of using these products. The thesis also provides infor- mation on how much money students spend on these products and how much nicotine e- liquids they consume within a certain timeframe. |
