This master's thesis is concerned with domestic violence against women. After an introduction to the concept of domestic violence and its forms, the thesis presents the approach of the Police of the Czech Republic to this issue and its practical involvement. At the same time it gives an overview of domestic violence oriented NGOs and analyses their activities according to the specific criteria designed for this purpose by the author of the thesis. Finally, it evaluates the present situation in the fight against domestic violence in the Czech Republic. |
