Popis: The submitted bachelor thesis attempts to present the personnel composition of the margravial and subsequently royal court of Charles of Luxembourg up to 1355 with focus on the ranks of the Czech nobility. It traces the formation and development of Charles' court in relation to contemporary events, Charles' experiences and ideas about the way of ruling, and the form of his proximate milieu with regard to administration of the land, diplomacy, and representation. The work retraces Charles' encounters with the court environment chronologically from his early youth spent in France, through the beginnings of the formation of his own court, up to his imperial coronation. Using period documents, it reconstructs Charles' milieu and presents the most frequently appearing Czech noblemen among Charles' courtiers. Key words: royal court, Charles IV., nobility, court appointment
