The focus of this bachelor thesis is on the use of plasma discharges in agriculture, more specifically in the treating of seeds of caraway using low-pressure plasma equipment Plasonic AR-550-M. The theoretical section is made up of two parts. The first one is a literary research on the caraway, its history and present, the history of its growing in the Czech Republic and the botanical and biological characteristics of this plant. The second part is devoted to plasma, its principles, types of plasma discharges and its use. The practical section contains a description of plasma equipment Plasonic AR-550-M and a brief instruction manual. Furthermore, there is a methodology of realization of measurements and its results that explain the effect of the plasma discharge on caraway seeds. |
