(English) The basic content of this work is a theoretical analysis of the works of Bohumil Zavadil, Francisco Matte Bon and José Plácido Ruiz Campillo, which we implement in order to clarify the applicability of theories in the interpretation of the choice of the verbal mood in Spanish. We pursue this intention through the practical application of the theories mentioned above to the linguistic material obtained from traditional grammars and language corpora InterCorp and CORPES XXI. In order to achieve the highest possible representativeness of our language sample, we try to capture the widest possible field of use of subjunctive. In this sense, we define 9 categories of language samples based on the traditional division into content, relative and adverbial clauses: main clauses with adverbial expressions of uncertainty; dependent content clauses with expressions of will, evaluation and potentiality; relative clauses; time clauses; condition clauses; concession and purpose clauses. By analyzing this type of constructions, we try to determine the applicability of theories and to clarify their benefits and limitations.
