Šárka Altmanová Vedoucí práce: PhDr. Kristýna Hoidekrová, Ph.D. Title: Distance therapy and telerehabilitation in occupational therapy: contemporary use in patients after acquired brain injuries Abstract: Acquired brain injuries (ABI) are the most represented type of injuries in neurorehabilitation. In the Czech Republic, there is a shortage of outpatient occupational therapists. The involvement of telerehabilitation appears to be a possible solution to the lack of therapists. These methods are already being used with a good effect around the world. The aim of this thesis is to compare the possibilities of telerehabilitation against conventional occupational therapy in patients with ABI. A partial goal is to undertake a SWOT analysis of telerehabilitation and evaluate the communication platform eAmbulance. There are four single case studies. The patients are aged between 27-81 years (two women and two men) with different severity of right-sided hemiparesis. These patients underwent interventions of 60 minutes per week for a period of four weeks. The content of each therapy was different.
