This bachelor work deals with the impact of free tour guide services in Prague (Free Tours)on tourism. It covers the origins of offering free tour guide services in Prague (Free Tours) and their effects on tourism. Some of these effects include a reduction in the number of tourists, the diffusion of vague and inaccurate information about Prague and Czech Republic, a reduction of tourism-related income for the country, an increase in the unemployment rate and a reduction of quality services in the tourism industry. This thesis was enriched by the opinions of certified professionals, Free Tour guides and the author of this thesis, who is also tour guide and have experienced the Free Tours problems. All these stakeholders made proposals to solve the Free Tours inefficiencies. |
