The aim of the bachelor thesis is to describe and utilize web performance and speed metrics. Metrics for example monitor the responsiveness of a web server, first paint of content or first possible interaction. Thanks to regular monitoring of the metrics and consecutive optimization, the effectiveness of the website, visit rate and user experience can be rapidly improved. The objective of the theoretical part is aimed at events occurring during painting of the website, introduction of the metrics itself, their value, reasons to monitor them and the monitoring methods and tools. In the practical part, tests of popular websites are made to illustrate the most common reasons for slow loading websites. Based on this research I will make a sample website with ideal settings of monitored parameters. A part of the practical section is an analysis of to professional public about using optimization techniques in the form of online quizzes. |
