The subject of this thesis is a comprehensive job description of educators in a facility for children requiring immediate assistance, in the form of a case study of a selected Children´s centre (Dětské centrum Jihočeského kraje). The first part of the thesis provides a general description of facilities for children requiring immediate assistance in the Czech Republic from the perspective of legislation, as well as the history and basic information about the way these facilities operate. Next, the activity of the Children´s centre is presented in terms of its aims, target group, the length of children's stay and the departure of children from the facility. The following chapters present a research describing the complexities of the work done by educators in the Children's Centre, including several illustrative case reports of children with whom the educators worked recently. |
