The theme of submitted bachelor work called "Commandery of the Johanit´s order in Strakonice - building history and mural paintings" are remarkable high medieval mural paintings from first half of 14th century in the building of former Johanit´s commandery in Strakonice. The work deals in detail with formal and iconographic analysis of mural paintings. Besides iconographic analysis the work deals with foreign inspirational influences and binding on creation of illuminated manuscripts as well. The work is enriched by outline construction history of the building, history of Johanit´s order and relations between the Johanit´s order and Bavarian noble family. |
