The thesis deals with the topic of the euro area debt crisis. It includes characteristics of the European Financial Stability Facility(EFSF), which was established as one of the anti-crisis measures. It brings a detailed overview of the financial assistance programs that have been provided by the EFSF. The major goal of the thesis is to evaluate the actual performance of objectives as defined in the EFSF Framework Agreement and in the individual programs. This evaluation is performed by comparing the development of economic indicators and target limits for the year 2011. |
