Popis:	This bachelor's thesis deals with analysis of corruption and its influence on the economic performance of country. The aim of this thesis is to describe the concept of corruption and the consequences of this phenomenon. The first section is theoretical and includes definition of corruption, its causes, consequences and description of ways how to measure corruption. The practical part contains comparison of corruption rate and selected macroeconomic indicators in selected countries of European Union. Its purpose is to confirm or disprove hypothesis about negative influence of corruption on the economic performance of selected countries.
