Končne produkte smo po uspešni sintezi okarakterizirali s pomočjo infrardeče spektroskopije, z elementno analizo, DMA testi in z uporabo vrstičnega elektronskega mikroskopa (SEM analiza). V okviru diplomske naloge smo pripravili membrane z odprto celično strukturo in z infrardečo spektroskopijo pričakovano potrdili enako kemijsko sestavo pri vseh vzorcih. The diploma thesis presents our study in which we wanted with the use of two different monomers, pentaerythritol tetrakis (3-mercaptopropionate) (TT) and trimethylolpropane triacrylate (TMPTA), to prepare polymeric membranes with adequate porosity and morphology that could possibly serve for various applications. We achieved the synthesis with the photopolymerisation procedure of the continuous phase with a high internal phase emulsions (HIP-emulsion). In our case, a mixture of monomers represented a continuous phase while the internal phase was the aqueous solution of calcium hexahydrate. HIP emulsions, which were mixed at 200 rpm/min over the entire time, were placed in a water bath with a constant temperature of 21 degrees Celsius, were prepared in three different ratios of monomers (TT : TMPTA) 1 : 1, 1 : 2 and 1 : 4. After the successful synthesis, we characterized the final products by using infrared spectroscopy, analysis of the composition of elements and compounds, DMA tests and by scanning electron microscope (SEM analysis). In the context of our diploma thesis, we prepared membranes with an open-cell structure. As expected, we confirmed the same chemical composition in all of the samples. At the same time as proven by the results, we concluded that the change in the relationships between monomers affects the morphology of the final product and its mechanical properties. The membranes acquired typical porous polyHIPE structure by increasing the ratio of TT : TMPTA, while their elasticity decreased.
