Namen: Namen diplomskega dela je predstaviti pomen klinične poti v zdravstvu in izdelati klinično pot obravnave pacienta z načrtovanim radikalnim operativnim zdravljenjem zaradi raka mehurja (s cistektomijo). Raziskovalna metodologija: Pri izdelavi diplomskega dela smo uporabili deskriptivno (opisno) metodo dela. Uporaba klinične poti omogoča doseganje visokih standardov obravnave in izboljševanje dosedanjih rešitev. Sklep: Z obravnavo pacienta z radikalno cistektomijo po klinični poti izboljšamo kakovost zdravstvene obravnave, izboljšamo izid zdravljenja, zagotovimo boljšo varnost pacienta in predvsem zadovoljstvo pacienta. Starting point: For treatment the patient who enters and exits the health care system it is certainly important the systematic process that has to be professionally formed, specified, written and it is called clinical pathway. The role of clinical pathway outwards it is unnoticeable but in practise it means the crucial element when treating a patient quality and successful. Intention: The purpose of the thesis is to introduce the meaning of clinical pathway in health care system and to make the clinical pathway of treatment of a patient with planned radical surgical treatment due to cancer of the urinary bladder (by cystectomy). Research methodology: In doing the thesis we used descriptive method of work. Through the systematic literature search across libraries and bibliographic databases like COBISS, MEDLINE and others we systematically reviewed and analyzed domestic and foreign literature and sources which are related to our theme. From obtain data, we selected the most relevant sources that we used for summation of the latest research findings and comprehensions to introduce them in structural form. Discussion: The introduction of clinical pathway at patient with radical cystectomy can reduce the number of mistakes in the treatment of patient, it allows you to reduce the number of deviations from the best way of treatment, it encourages multidisciplinary team work and offers good basis for better informing patients and their relatives. The usage of clinical pathway allows you to achieve high standards of treatment and improvement of current solutions. Conclusion: With treatment of patient using clinical cystectomy by clinical pathway we improve the quality of medical treatment, improve the result of treatment, provide better patient safety and first of all patient satisfaction. It is also emphasized the role of nurse who has the one of more important roles in multidisciplinary team because she faces series of nursing problems on which she focuses in her efforts for the safety of the patient.
