Popis: Krajinski park Šturmovci leži v bližini Ptuja ob strugi reke Drave in ob umetnem Ptujskem jezeru. Šturmovci Landscape Park is located near Ptuj at the bed of the river Drava and Lake Ptuj. It is a part of an area protected under Natura 2000 and is registered on the list of Important Bird Areas in Europe (IBAE). In the landscape park, there are many endangered plant and animal species listed as vulnerable and rare. Because of its variety and diversity, the Šturmovci Landscape Park is attractive for researchers in all areas (botanists, zoologists, ornithologists ...), as well as for pupils, students and other visitors. The teachers and the students of Primary School Videm designed a natural science learning trail in the area of the landscape park in 1995. At the same time, they created and issued a brochure describing the nine monitoring stations. During the visit to the Šturmovci Landscape Park we established that the area has changed greatly over the course of two decades. Some monitoring stations were difficult to determine, or they could not be determined at all. Explanatory panels which are essential for every visitor were missing. That is why we decided to update the natural science learning trail. We have set new monitoring stations, added explanatory panels and created a new information brochure. We tried to change the learning trail from passive to active and make it attractive for all visitors to the landscape park.
