V diplomskem delu smo preučevali koncept varnosti v ruralnem okolju in kriminalitete na podeželju, kjer smo izpostavili nasilje v družinah, zlorabo drog, kazniva dejanja, povezana z agrikulturo, korupcijo v ruralnem okolju in kriminaliteto v slovenskih občinah. Prav tako smo govorili o v skupnost usmerjenem policijskem delu, varnostnih sosvetih, strahu pred kriminaliteto in občutku varnosti v lokalnih skupnostih. In the diploma thesis on safety, we were interested in whether criminality is only an urban problem, and whether residents are pleased with police work in the community. For this purpose, we examined the theory and various texts, and determined research questions that are in line with these assumptions. We established that criminality is not just an urban problem, since many criminal offences occur in rural areas, while many are specific for such environments. We can point out criminal offences against the environment, space and natural resources. Based on the relevant data, we determined that residents are satisfied with police work in the community, since they evaluate it as good. In the diploma thesis we examined the concept of safety in rural environment and criminality in the countryside, where we highlighted domestic violence, drug abuse, criminal offences related to agriculture, corruption in rural environment, and criminality in Slovenian municipalities. We also discussed community-oriented police work, safety advisory committees, fear of criminality, and sense of safety in local communities.
