Popis: Evropski migrantski val konec leta 2015 v Evropi je bil eden največjih doslej in je sprožil različne politične odzive in odzive javnosti. Zanimalo nas je, kakšen odnos in stališča do beguncev in ekonomskih migrantov (emigrantov) imamo v Sloveniji. V magistrski nalogi smo s pomočjo lestvic stališč, socialne distance, vprašalnikov socialne dominantnosti, avtoritarnosti in makiavelizma preverjali povezanost stališč in stopnje socialne distance do beguncev in emigrantov z nekaterimi psihološkimi in sociodemografskimi spremenljivkami. Ugotovitve kažejo, da so z negativnimi stališči do beguncev in emigrantov statistično pomembno povezani desna politična opredelitev, nižja izobrazba, socialna dominantnost in makiavelizem. Moški spol in tip krajevne skupnosti sta povezana z negativnimi stališči do emigrantov, avtoritarnost pa z negativnimi stališči do beguncev. Z višjo stopnjo socialne distance do obeh skupin se povezujejo desna politična opredelitev, socialna dominantnost in avtoritarnost. Prediktorja stališč do beguncev sta politična opredelitev in socialna dominantnost, prediktorji stališč do emigrantov pa spol, tip krajevne skupnosti, politična opredelitev in socialna dominantnost. Stališča do beguncev so bolj negativna kot stališča do emigrantov. Naše ugotovitve se razlikujejo od dosedanjih predvsem glede prediktorjev stališč ter glede na avtoritarnost, spol in tip krajevne skupnosti. European migrant crisis at the end of 2015 was one of the largest ones yet and it triggered different political reactions and public responses. We wanted to know what kind of views and attitudes towards refugees and economic migrants (emigrants) we have in Slovenia. In our master’s thesis we examined the connection between the attitudes and the levels of social distances towards refugees and emigrants with some of the psychological and socio-demographic variables, with the help of attitude scales, social distances, questionnaires of social dominance, authoritarianism and Machiavellianism. Our findings show that right-wing political orientation, lower education, social dominance and Machiavellianism are statistically significant connected with the negative attitudes towards refugees and emigrants. Masculine gender and the type of civil parish are connected with the negative attitudes towards emigrants and authoritarianism with the negative attitudes towards refugees. Right-wing political orientation, social dominance and authoritarianism are connected with the higher level of social distance towards both groups. Predictors of attitudes towards refugees are political orientation and social dominance predicators of attitudes towards emigrant are sex, type of civil parish, political orientation and social dominance. Attitudes towards refugees are more negative than the ones towards emigrants. Our findings are different from the findings so far mostly regarding predictors of attitudes and considering authoritativeness, sex and type of social parish.
