Prvi del so sestavljala demografska vprašanja, nato so udeleženci izpolnili Frostovo lestvico perfekcionizma FMPS, Lestvico perfekcionizma za otroke in mladostnike CAPS, Inventarij socialne fobičnosti SPIN in Vprašalnik vzorcev hranjenja EAT-26. Perfectionism, which can be defined as an aspiration to perfection, connects both with favourable and unfavourable outcomes for an individual, as confirmed by a lot of research. In the master's thesis, we focused on the connection of perfectionism with unfavourable outcomes for an individual. The purpose of this study was to examine the role of perfectionism in social anxiety and eating disorders on a sample of secondary school population in the Slovenian environment. The survey included 146 high school students, of which there are 37 boys and 109 girls, aged 15 to 19 years. The survey participants completed a questionnaire, which consisted of five parts. The first part consisted of demographic questions, after that they filled in the Frost Multidimensional Perfectionism Scale (FMPS), the Child-Adolescent Perfectionism Scale (CAPS), the Social Phobia Inventory (SPIN) and the Eating Attitudes Test-26 (EAT-26) questionnaires. The hypotheses were tested in the SPSS program with t-test, Mann-Whitney U-test for independent samples, regression analysis and an addition Process Macro. We have found that positive predictors of social anxiety are perfectionism, Concerns over mistakes and Doubts about actions. Perfectionism, Concerns over mistakes and social anxiety have proven to be positive predictors of eating disorders. In the study, we also found that the dimension Dieting is a positive predictor of the body mass index, Bulimia and food preoccupation, as well as Oral control are the negative predictors of the body mass index. The results showed that girls, in comparison to boys, score higher on perfectionism, social anxiety, and eating disorders. More specifically, we found that for girls in comparison with boys, the level of perfectionism is more distinct, which is especially evident as a doubt in their actions and concerns about mistakes, girls also have a more distinct behaviour about weight loss compared to boys, preoccupation with body appearance and disrupted feeding patterns typical of bulimia nervosa.
