V magistrskem delu z naslovom Slovenske pridige knezoškofa Mihaela Napotnika je predstavljeno življenje in delo lavantinskega škofa, pridigarja in nabožnega pisatelja Mihaela Napotnika (1850–1922). Poleg analize zunanje in notranje zgradbe, motivno-tematskih in jezikovno-slogovnih značilnosti, je bilo naše raziskovanje usmerjeno v preučevanje rabe pripovednih prvin in medbesedilnih sredstev. Nadalje smo naredili medsebojno primerjavo analiziranih prvin z Napotnikovim hagiografskim besedilom Sveti Pavel, apostol sveta in učitelj narodov (1892). The Master’s thesis entitled Slovene Sermons of Prince-Bishop Mihael Napotnik presents the life and work of the Lavantine bishop, preacher and religious writer Mihael Napotnik (1850–1922). The purpose of the Master’s thesis was to explore his literary and preaching works with an emphasis on his Slovene sermons. The central part presents the analysis of four sermons from the collection Spomnite se besed, ki sem vam jih govoril (1902), which discuss saints and Church officials. In addition to the analysis of internal and external text structures, motifs, themes, and linguistic and stylistic features, our research focused on the study of narrative elements and intertextuality. Furthermore, we conducted a comparison study with Napotnik’s hagiographical text Sveti Pavel, apostol sveta in učitelj narodov (1892). We concluded that both genres include a variety of narrative elements and intertextual figures. The dominant intertextual figures are biblical quotations and their summaries, and narratively perfected examples, which the preacher created with the help of biblical, biographical, and historical narrations. He often made use of allusions and allegorical interpretations to convey the moral values and the meaning of his religious texts to the reader in a picturesque manner. |
