The management of personal finances is a key to our financial future. Despite this, many individuals do not save regularly or they are not sure which form of savings is the most appropriate for them. To avoid this problem it is necessary to make a financial plan. We have to analyse our financial situation, determine our goals and time period to achieve all of the goals. The goals could be reached with the use of different investment alternatives. Bay choosing of appropriate means of savings we have to consider some of the factors: our knowledge, previous experinces, available incomes and our risk attitude. We have researched and analysed financial habits and motives for savings in Slovenia before, during and after the financial crisis. The research has shown us that the trend of savings has remained the same between 2001 and 2014. In Slovenia, despite the low interest offered by banks, still dominates the saving in the bank. There are two reasons for this: Slovenians are very conservative and also because the saving at the banks is the safetest and the easiest financial investment for an individual. |
