IMPROVEMENT OF AXIAL FORCES COMPENSATION UNIT ON A MULTI-STAGE RADIAL AUXILIARY FEED-WATER PUMP

Popis: Kompenzacija aksialne sile v pomožni napajalni večstopenjski radialni črpalki je izvedena z balansirnim diskom. Med uporabo črpalke je bilo ugotovljeno, da se nastavljena zračnost balansirnega diska povečuje in to ne kot posledica obrabe, ampak kot posledica originalne konstrukcije elementov, katerih naloga je kompenzacija aksialne sile. Povečana zračnost se odraža v povišani temperaturi aksialnega ležaja, kar pa bi lahko v končni fazi pomenilo odpoved delovanja črpalke. V sodelovanju s proizvajalcem črpalke je bila predlagana tehnična rešitev problema. Primarni cilj diplomskega dela je izdelati celotno pripravo za izvedbo predlagane izboljšave na črpalki in tako zagotoviti njeno nadaljnje zanesljivo delovanje. Skladno s pravili NEK je potrebno izdelati paket delovnega naloga, ki mora vsebovati: navodila za delo, plan izvedbe in kontrole del, načrte, merilne protokole. Sekundarni cilj je izdelava revizije postopka vzdrževanja, ki bo popisal način sestavljanja in razstavljanja novih ali modificiranih sestavnih delov s kriteriji sprejemljivosti. Na ta način bom zagotovil natančno in pravilno vgradnjo izboljšane naprave v času naslednjega remonta. Namen diplomske naloge je tudi v bodoče zagotavljati visoko razpoložljivost in zanesljivost delovanja pomožne napajalne črpalke, kar bo doseženo z natančno, zanesljivo in dokumentirano vgradnjo predlagane izboljšave. Compensation of axial force in the subsidiary multistage radial pump is made with balancing disc. During the usage of the pump we found that set airiness of balanced disc is increasing, and this not as consequence of wear out, but as consequence of original construction of elements, of which task is compensation of axial force. The increased airiness is reflected in increased temperature of axial bearing, which could ultimately mean failure in operating the pump. Technical solution of a problem was suggested in cooperation with a manufacturer of the pump. The main goal of this dissertation is to make the whole preparation for realisation of suggested improvement on the pump and in this way to insure its further reliable activity. In accordance with the rules of NEK, the package of work order has to be done, this has to contain: instructions for work, plan of realisation and control of works, plans, measuring protocols, etc. The secondary goal is to make the audit of procedure of maintenance, which will register the way of assembly and dismantling of the new and modified components with criteria of acceptability. In this way we will ensure accurate and proper installation of the improved device during the next outage. The intention of this dissertation is to assure highly availability and reliability of auxiliary supply pump also in future, which will be achieved with careful, reliable and documented installation of suggested improvement.
