| Popis: | This report includes a summary of a general review of selected papers dealing with the mechanism of swelling. Laboratory tests have been made on a highly plastic clay from Manitoba and a clay-shale (Bearpaw shale) from Saskatchewan in order to investigate their swelling characteristics. Testing techniques and test results are reported and discussed in relation to the general literature review. |
