Popis: | Aggregate beamforming is described as an alternative to conventional beamforming for reducing the hardware complexity of arrays with many elements. A 32-element spherical array has been designed for the analysis of directional and spatial variations of sound fields in rooms. These two technologies are combined for the purpose of localizing early reflections within a room. The alternative beamforming method and conventional methods, such as delay and sum and superdirective beamforming, are compared. The effectiveness of the methods for identifying significant reflectors and, ultimately, assessing noise control strategies is examined. Inter-Noise 2003: 25 August 2003, Seogwipo, Korea |
