El ISSN y el ISBN corresponden a la versión electrónica del documento The purpose of this publication is to present the European regions according to the NUTS 2021 classification in the form of tables and maps. It replaces the previous Eurostat publication on NUTS 2016 issued in 2018, and includes all the changes which have taken place since then. In addition, this document presents the “statistical regions”. This is a concept very similar to the one of NUTS, and covers the regions from EFTA and candidate countries, allowing us to show data of these countries together with the one of the EU and the UK. This document presents the current NUTS nomenclature with 104 regions at NUTS level 1, 283 at NUTS level 2 and 1 345 at NUTS level 3. The NUTS is the official division of the EU and the UK for regional statistics, visualised on maps. For EFTA and candidate countries, the similar concept of ‘statistical regions’ is used. These are as well part of this document. |
