Treball Final de Grau en Estudis Anglesos. Codi: EA0938. Curs acadèmic: 2020/2021 Literature can be a successful resource for teaching English as a foreign language (EFL). The goal of this paper is to offer an improvement proposal to demonstrate the importance of teaching English through literature. The lesson is based on Toni Morrison’s novel The Bluest Eye (1970) and it has been designed for an Escuela Oficial de Idiomas (EOI). By following Carter and Long’s (1991) triadic model and several book fragments that have been carefully selected, this lesson plan seeks to develop the student's linguistic, cultural and personal growth features. This work has been able to prove with satisfaction that literature should not be abandoned or neglected in language teaching as it has verified to be very beneficial for learners. |
