| Popis: | Video resources are gradually being introduced in a first year programming course. The course is about imperative programming in C. After each of the first two years with video lectures the students have been asked about their assessments and opinions. The main parts of the paper are based on evidence from two questionnaires. It is concluded that a vast majority of the students find it very attractive to learn about imperative programming via videos (with or without supplementary coverage from a textbook). The paper describes the status of an ongoing activity. In addition to conclusions on past experience we also carry out a discussion of future plans for using video resources in the course. |
