The volume encompasses six conferences of Romanian academics (from Bratislava, Skopje, Bucharest, Iași and Alba Iulia) invited to Lund to hold conferences in English and French as part of Romanian language and literature research seminar series in the interval September 2015 – March 2017 on various topics: linguistics and etymology, literary world’s specificities, contemporary Romanian literature, and Romanian folklore. The essays edited offer a comprehensive image of Romania’s language, literature and culture, from its early beginnings up to present days. The conferences held by the Romanian guest lecturers at Lund University were of great relevance to the Romanian Studies Department, the volume stands as a landmark of bilateral relations between Romania and Sweden and acts as an excellent scientific ambassador in the larger academic community worldwide. |
