Popis:	[EN] It is estimated that there are about 14.000 closed or abandoned mining waste facilities in Spain, including more than 900 tailings dams. An important progress has been made in mineral processing techniques. In addition, minerals and substances that in the past were not employed in the industry, are today an important demand. For these reasons, abandoned mining wastes might contain valuable resources including critical raw materials.
