Popis:	This study presents the phenomenon of satirical paraphrase of ecclesiastical texts, some of which acquired in the passage of time proverbial use in the daily life and communication of the Greeks. The study is focused on: a) proverbial phrases from corruption of liturgical phrases and texts, b) proverbial phrases from the corruption of ecclesiastical ad-ministrative titles of Metropolises and c) metropolitans proverbial phrases from the corruption of hymns and prayers.
